Women, Work, & Calling: Step into Your Place in God’s World*

by Joanna Meyer

This book addresses a critical gap in Christian women’s discipleship by speaking to the roles we play in public and professional life. Acknowledging the brokenness of workplaces and industries, it provides a theological framework for women’s work and influence and offers resources for the challenges of working life.
Two meeting options: * This is a women’s specific book club
  • Tuesday afternoons, 12-1pm at the Faith Co-Op office
    • June 2 – June 30 (5 weeks)
  • Thursday evenings, 6-7pm
    • June 4 – July 2 (5 weeks)

Good Work, Deep Rest*

by Denver Institute for Faith & Work

While vacations can be fun and refreshing, they offer a temporary solution to a deeper problem: the unbalanced relationship between work and rest that characterizes many women’s working lives. God invites us to experience a different rhythm of life, one in which work and rest coexist. In this discussion guide, you’ll: learn that work and rest are interdependent, discuss how the inner dynamics of identity, trust, and limits affect our ability to rest, and explore the biblical principles of Sabbath.
  • Meeting Thursday mornings, 7:30-8:30pm at Cadence Coffee
  • June 4 – July 1
  • * This is a women’s specific book club
