Corporate Sabbaticals & Cultures of Rest
What would it look like for workplaces to treat rest not as an occasional luxury, but as part of a healthy, God-honoring culture? In our always-on world, stepping away can feel unrealistic or even irresponsible. Yet God invites us into rhythms of work and rest that form us in trust, humility, and dependence on him.
In this follow up event from our Lunch and Learn on rest in December, we’ll explore corporate sabbaticals as one practical way organizations can build sustainable cultures of rest. Join us for a panel conversation with Eric Brown (Whiteboard) and Stacy Johnson (La Paz) as they share how their organizations implemented sabbatical policies and what they personally learned during their own sabbaticals.
You’ll hear reflections and stories on:
- Why their organizations chose to establish a sabbatical policies
- What it looks like to build a culture that supports real rest
- Practical challenges and how they navigated them (coverage, workload, planning, etc.)
- What they learned while away and how the Lord met them in the season
- How sabbaticals shaped their return to work, leadership, and faith
Whether you’re a founder, executive, manager, HR leader, or simply someone curious about what rhythms of rest could look like in the workplace, this conversation will give you a vision for what’s possible—and practical wisdom for taking the next step.
We hope to see you there! Lunch will be provided.
