DESCRIPTION:In 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Paul urges the church to pray without ceasing. But how do we pray and work at the same time? How can we pray continuously and balance a spreadsheet\, draft website copy\, or lead a meeting? \nPrayer is more than the words we say to God. It’s listening\, communing with God\, and becoming present to the One who is already present with us. What might it look like to carry that kind of prayer into our everyday work? \nJoin us Tuesday\, October 20\, from 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. to hear from Lakweshia Ewing\, Founder of Unlearn Everything and Live\, Nick Pacurari\, VP of Student Life at Bryan College\, and Tim Hewitt\, a defense attorney at Logan-Thompson\, about what it looks like to offer their work as a form of prayer. They’ll share how they’ve wrestled with the relationship between prayer and work\, and ways they’ve learned to turn their attention to God in prayer –no matter the task or conversation. \nAbout the Series\nOver the past year\, we’ve heard from people across industries and career stages who share a common challenge: staying connected to God in their daily work. The pace and demands of our lives both within and outside of our jobs can make it difficult to pay attention to God’s presence in the everyday. \nThis series is an invitation to just do that. Over the next few months\, we’ll hear from people across professions about the challenges they face\, the spiritual practices they lean on\, and the biblical truths that help draw their attention back to God. From entering our workspace to starting a meeting\, sending an email\, updating a spreadsheet\, or talking with a colleague\, God is already present—and inviting us to do our work with Him.

But if our eyes have not been trained to see them\, we can miss the women whose work\, worship\, and influence advanced God’s purposes in the world. \nJoin a global community of women at WWC26 on Friday\, October 30 to rediscover the stories of working women in Scripture—and through their lives\, encounter God in ways that reshape your own. \nWe’ll explore three timeless themes for our work today: \n\nStrength — Recover God’s original design for women as strong partners in his work.\nCourage — Follow the example of women who spoke up\, took risks\, and remained faithful in complicated circumstances.\nRighteousness — Learn to lead with vision and generosity in a world that deeply needs both.\n\nWWC26 will gather women from across industries\, churches\, and life stages for biblical teaching\, honest conversation\, and practical wisdom tailored to the challenges and opportunities working women face. Faith Co-Op is an official host site of WWC26. We will be joining dozens of other cities streaming the conference live from right here in Chattanooga.
